Come and explore the process of creating hand-made accessories, batik print and tie-dye techniques led by Kontiki Cultural Women Empowerment especially for Cultural Diversity Week.

Learn the process of creating hand-made accessories, batik print and tie-dye techniques.

The workshop delves into the creation and construction of traditional garments and the social values they translate into for women from Sierra Leone, African and non-African communities.  Clothing designs using the batik fabric painting and tie-dye techniques. Learn how to develop, present design concepts, sew prototypes and create garments all the way through to the completion stage.

This workshop features as a part of Kontiki’s Crafts and Batik Exhibition.
