This exhibition takes inspiration from Ethereal Andy’s immersive visual theatre experience of the same name. Using multi-disciplinary mediums, such as dance, spoken words, physical theatre and visual arts, his work explores the concept of emotional walls and how they affect us along with self-identity and a sense of self-worth.

Dis-connected was an immersive visual theatre experience using multi-disciplinary mediums, such as dance, spoken words, physical theatre and visual arts. See more here.

The piece emerged from the artist’s first-hand experience of emotional walls and psychological detachment due to emotional and mental pain of intense past experiences. It will explores how these experiences affect us, the hardship of choosing your identity and sexuality in face of rejection and ostracism.

It is inspired by some of the principles of ISTDP (intensive short term dynamic psychotherapy) and revisiting elements of the well known ancient Greek legend of the Minotaur and Theseus.
