Brimbank City Council has temporarily closed to the public a number of community facilities including the Bowery Theatre and St Albans Community Centre, effective 18 March 2020 until further notice.

This is a precautionary measure in response to the current public health situation and to help slow the spread of the COVID-19 virus within the community.

Given the health and wellbeing of staff and the community is Council’s top priority, we have postponed the upcoming performance of LOTUS from Friday 1 May to Friday 20 November 2020, as well as the performances of Robot Song, Archie Roach: Tell Me Why, and I Have a Face.

Bowery Theatre hires have also been postponed until the end of June 2020.

In these challenging circumstances we’re thinking about new ways of delivery and how we can support artists and the arts community, so we’ll keep you updated on what transpires in this space over the coming weeks.

We would also like to thank our audiences and supporters for the messages of encouragement, helping to buoy us during these uncertain times.

In the meantime, check out our Artist Opportunities
